Angels, Healing, and the Spiritual Side of Health: A Conversation with Alisha Das

August 4, 2026 by Dr. Eeks

What if health isn’t just about the body?

That’s a question I’ve become increasingly interested in exploring—not because science has all the answers, but because it doesn’t. Throughout history, people across cultures have described experiences involving angels, intuition, healing, and spiritual encounters that exist outside the boundaries of conventional medicine and scientific explanation.

Whether those experiences represent something supernatural, psychological, symbolic, or something we simply don’t yet understand is a conversation worth having.

That’s why I created the Exploring the Spiritual Realm series on the Causes or Cures podcast.

In this episode, I speak with Alisha Das, author of Angelic Ancestry, about her personal experiences and the beliefs that shaped her understanding of angels, intuition, healing, and what she describes as our “spiritual ancestry.”

This conversation explores one person’s worldview. It is not intended to validate or invalidate supernatural claims, but rather to examine why these beliefs persist across cultures and what they may reveal about the human experience.

What We Discuss

During our conversation, Alisha shares:

*Her personal journey and what led her to write Angelic Ancestry

*What she means by “angels” and how she understands them

*Why belief in angels appears throughout history and across cultures

*The idea of “angelic ancestry”

*Whether she believes people can communicate with loved ones who have died

*What she believes happens after death

*What “angelic language” is and how she experiences it

*How her healing journey shaped her spiritual beliefs

*Whether someone must follow a particular religion to connect with these ideas

*How she responds to skeptics

Why Explore Topics Like This?

As someone with a background in medicine and public health, I spend much of my time talking with scientists, physicians, and researchers about evidence-based health.

But health has always been more than biology.

Many people describe experiences involving faith, spirituality, purpose, intuition, or unexplained events that influence how they cope with illness, grief, recovery, and life itself. These experiences may not fit neatly into scientific frameworks, but they remain deeply meaningful to the people who have them.

Exploring those perspectives doesn’t require accepting every claim as fact. Curiosity and critical thinking can coexist.

That’s the spirit behind this series. (Pun intended, I guess. :) )

A Note to Believers and Skeptics

Whether you believe angels are real, view them as symbolic, or remain entirely skeptical, I hope you’ll approach this conversation with curiosity.

Some of the most interesting discussions happen when we listen carefully to ideas outside our own worldview—not necessarily to agree, but to better understand one another.
